As an active member of the South Dundas Community, I am involved with different non-profit groups and regularly organize activities devoted to improving the quality of life in the community and beyond. In this capacity, I have had the pleasure of collaborating on such projects as: establishing a Book Club to promote literary exchange and understanding, creating house tours of beautiful homes along the St. Lawrence River to raise funds for the future Winchester Hospital expansion, promoting the sustainable, economic development of the region and hosting an eccentric tea party for African Grannies in support of the African cause. At the first regular concert of the 2007/8 Fort Town Concert Association season in October, we appealed to the audience for assistance with putting on classical concerts in pretty Prescott on the mighty St Lawrence. It was the first time that Mario attended a concert here & he did so to hear classical guitarist Daniel Bolshoy perform. He responded to the appeal by leaving his card with us. I called him 2 days later, and after introductory preliminaries, it became clear that we had struck gold! Websites and staging were his forte, and in those areas we could do with help. Mario agreed to sit on our Volunteer Committee.
Shortly after our next committee meeting, our website contract ran out. Mario offered to host & re-create our 6-year old website at a better rate than before. He had to cope with historical information, concert reviews, large photo files of the Jeunesses Musicales of Canada (JMC) congress we hosted in 2006, and much material that we wished to retain in a site that is essentially a publicity vehicle. Mario & I worked closely together via email to ensure all the relevant information were included in the correct format. Although he was not familiar with the concert series, & how they were put together, his professionalism showed through in the timeliness with which he got the site up, in its bold design features, its accuracy and scope, and in the intrinsic excitement the site now generates. I believe he also does much of this on his free time.

TRAM aka Table Ronde sur L’art du Mont Royal is a non profit organization bringing together over 80 local artists from the town.
